Simon Busser
Sud-Ouest
Simon Busser, a native of the Lot settled in the commune of Prayssac, not far from Cahors.
He started his winemaking activity in 2007, having taken over a 7.5-hectare family vineyard located in the Cahors appellation.
Originally, there were typical local grape varieties such as Malbec, Merlot and Tannat, but Simon diversified the grape varieties and added Chenin, Savagnin and Trousseau, among others.
On the wine side, he takes his time. Each cuvée undergoes more or less 18 months of ageing and is aged for 1 year in the bottle before being marketed.
In the end, we are dealing with deep and powerful wines that are very nicely expressive.
