La Bohème - Patrick Bouju
Patrick Bouju & Justine Loiseau
Auvergne
Undeniably one of the leaders of the Auvergne nature movement. One of its great qualities: knowing how to bring together. It’s not for nothing that many trained by his side. We think of Aurélien Lefort and Emelie Hurtubise in particular, but there are many others.
From the early 90s he was interested in natural wine because he discovered an intolerance to sulfites, but obviously, he finds it super good! He then begins a wine training, learned here and then then acquires some vines in Auvergne. But for more than 10 years, he does not live this activity at all and works simultaneously in computer science.
Patrick and his partner Justine are installed in the cellar which previously belonged to the legendary Domaine Peyra.
Their vines, mostly old, are fragmented because they select the best terroirs in Puy-de-Dôme, and there is a great diversity of grape varieties: Gamay of course, but also indigenous varieties like the Mirefleurian. In parallel, they carry out a trading activity, to have the freedom to diversify their vinifications.
Complex, delicious and generous juices; It can also be noted that some of their cuvées are simply mythical.
