Babass

Sébastien Dervieux, much better known as Babass, is one of the pioneers of the Layon nature movement. With his acolyte Patrick Desplats, he was in the head for years in the Domaine des Griottes.

Since 2011, he has set up his own activity in Rochefort-sur-Loire with his wife Agnès. Together, they cultivate 4 hectares of Gamay, Grolleau, Cabernet Franc and Chenin.

We are dealing with two particularly welcoming, joyful personalities, who know how to federate and accompany the whole new generation that settles in the area.

As for their cuvées, they qualify them themselves as “grape wine”, which is enough to define their militancy defending the input without inputs and natural vinification. What they are looking for: wines forged by the climate of the vintage and the terroir; pure, refreshing and generous cheerfulness.
